A capsule lift in Sasaram does two jobs at once. It carries people between floors, and it tells every visitor that the building has been built with care. With glass walls on one or more sides, passengers see the lobby, the banquet floor or the street as they ride. Eldeal Engineers designs and installs capsule and panoramic glass lifts for hotels, banquet halls, restaurants, showrooms and premium homes in Sasaram and nearby towns.
Our corporate office is on Old G.T. Road in Sasaram, so survey, installation and the regular care a glass lift needs are all handled by a local team. In the hospitality sector, Samridhi Hotel & Resorts in Sasaram is among our clients, and that work has shown us how much guests notice the ride, the lighting and the cleanliness of a lift.
Where a capsule lift in Sasaram fits best
Hotels and banquet halls
Weddings and family functions are a big part of life in Sasaram, and banquet halls compete on first impressions. A glass lift beside the main staircase or in a double-height lobby becomes part of the venue, and guests on upper floors reach the hall without a climb.
Jewellery, clothing and furniture showrooms
Multi-floor showrooms often struggle to draw customers to the first and second floors. A visible glass lift invites people upstairs and makes the building stand out from the road.
Restaurants with upper-floor or rooftop dining
A panoramic car turns the trip up into part of the experience, especially in the evening.
Premium homes
In larger houses, a small glass lift in the stairwell keeps the space open and full of light, where a closed shaft would block it. Our home lift in Sasaram page covers compact options for houses.
Shapes and layouts
| Layout | What it looks like | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Semi-circular capsule | Curved glass front, flat back on the rails | Hotel atriums, banquet lobbies |
| Square or rectangular panoramic | Flat glass on one to three sides | Showrooms, restaurants; often more economical |
| Glass shaft with glass car | Whole lift in a steel-framed glass enclosure | Stairwells in homes, open lobbies |
| External façade lift | Runs on the outside wall of the building | Buildings with a street view and no inside space |
Typical capacities run from about 4–6 persons for homes up to 10–16 persons for large commercial lobbies, at speeds of roughly 0.5 to 1.75 m/s. These are indicative; final figures follow the survey. More detail is on our main capsule elevator page.
Designing a glass lift for Sasaram's climate
A glass lift that looks perfect on a drawing can become a problem in a Bihar summer or a dusty roadside location. We plan for local conditions from the start:
- Heat: in May and June, a car in direct sun heats up fast. We look at the direction the glass faces, and suggest tinted or heat-reflective laminated glass and cabin ventilation.
- Dust: buildings near a busy highway collect dust quickly on glass and door sills. An indoor position, or a sealed external shaft, keeps cleaning manageable.
- Monsoon: external lifts need weather sealing, a drained pit and a covered landing so rain does not reach the doors.
- Cleaning access: both faces of every glass panel must be reachable safely.
- Visible machinery: rails, ropes and brackets are on show, so they must be neatly finished and kept clean.
Safety you cannot see
A capsule lift carries the same protection as any Eldeal passenger lift: a V3F drive for smooth starts and level stops, an Automatic Rescue Device that brings the car to the nearest floor during a power cut, a door light curtain, an overload sensor with voice prompt, an intercom, alarm and emergency light. Cabin glass is laminated safety glass. New installations are designed with IS 17900 in mind, which BIS made mandatory from 22 December 2025, with focus on UCMP, ACOP and ARD. The Bihar Lift and Escalator Bill, 2024 also brings registration, inspection, maintenance and insurance duties. Please confirm the current rules with your architect and local authority.
Capsule lift or a standard passenger lift?
A glass lift is not always the right choice, and we will not push one where it does not fit. If the lift sits in a closed shaft at the back of the building where nobody will see it, the extra spend on glass buys very little. If the building is mainly offices or flats with heavy daily traffic, a well-finished enclosed lift is usually more practical; our commercial lift page covers that route. A capsule lift earns its cost when it is placed where people see it: facing the entrance, inside a double-height lobby, or on a façade that faces the road. Some owners choose a middle path, an enclosed car with one glass wall facing the lobby, which gives much of the effect at lower cost.
What affects the cost
Compared with an enclosed lift, a capsule lift adds the cost of glass, shaped car framing, a finished structure and cleaning access. The main drivers are the shape (curved glass costs more than flat), the number of glass sides, capacity, number of floors, indoor or external position, and cabin finish.
