Anyone searching for lift companies in Sasaram deserves the plain answer before the list. The town has one lift company with an office we could confirm, and it is the publisher of this page: Eldeal Engineers, on Old G.T. Road. No second firm with a Sasaram or Rohtas address passed our checks. The other nine entries are national brands that a buyer here can still approach. Four of them show a Patna office or experience centre on their official websites. For the remaining five we found no office anywhere in Bihar.

How we looked for lift companies in Sasaram

The search covered the town and the rest of Rohtas district. A business was kept only when its own website, or two sources independent of each other, confirmed it at an address here. Leaving ourselves aside, nothing qualified. A single online directory carries one more name with a Rohtas location and no other source supports it, so it is not printed.

Patna's independent lift firms are a separate matter. Of the websites we could open, not one said that it serves Sasaram or Rohtas, so they are not offered here as choices for this town. In the town: the one office we could confirm

1. Eldeal Engineers Pvt. Ltd. (corporate office, Old G.T. Road, Sasaram)

Sasaram is where our corporate office is: behind Kali Sthan on Old G.T. Road, as our Sasaram office page shows. Eldeal Engineers dates from 2017 and also has branches in Patna, Bhagalpur and Varanasi, with a registered office in New Delhi. We supply and install lifts and escalators and handle what comes after: maintenance, repair, AMC and modernisation. A lift from us runs on a V3F drive and carries a door light curtain, an intercom, an emergency light, an overload sensor that gives a voice prompt and an automatic rescue device (ARD). Installation is inspected stage by stage, and the support line works 24/7. Close to home, our clients include Samarpan Hospital, Janata Nursing Home and Samridhi Hotel & Resorts, as well as Narayan Medical College & Hospital and Gopal Narayan Singh University at Jamuhar. Brands whose official websites show a Patna office

Patna is the nearest big city in Bihar. Each of the four brands below publishes a Patna office or experience centre on its own website. For none of them did we find a Sasaram office listed.

2. Johnson Lifts

For a Sasaram buyer the road to Johnson Lifts runs through Patna. The company's official locations page lists a Patna branch, and that was the one Bihar branch our research found on it. Johnson Lifts Private Limited is an Indian firm, established in 1963, whose headquarters are in Chennai; it says its manufacturing is done in Chennai and Nagpur. Its website shows home lifts, apartment lifts, escalators and commercial lifts for factories, malls, hotels, offices and hospitals, with maintenance and modernisation. Ask the Patna branch two things: would it take on a building in Sasaram, and from where would the service engineer set out?

3. KONE

KONE publishes a Patna branch office on its official branch-offices page. We found no KONE office listed for Sasaram, so an enquiry from Rohtas district would begin in Patna; ask that office how a project here, and its later servicing, would be handled. KONE itself is Finnish. It was founded in 1910, its global headquarters are in Helsinki and its India headquarters are in Chennai, and by its own account it has been present in India since 1984. The India website shows escalators and passenger elevators, home elevators and, for hospitals, bed elevators, with modernisation and maintenance as services.

4. Nibav Home Lifts

Nibav is on this list for one kind of buyer: the family that wants a lift inside its own house. Home lifts are all this Indian company makes. They are vacuum lifts, also described as pneumatic, sold in several series and built at Nibav's facilities in Chennai, where the company is based. Its website puts the launch of the brand in 2019. The official contact page lists an experience centre on Boring Road, Patna. Ask whether Nibav installs in Sasaram and who would look after the lift once it is running.

5. Omega Elevators

Omega Elevators gives a Sasaram buyer two directions to look in. Its official contacts page lists one location in Patna and another in Varanasi, and the Grand Trunk Road puts Varanasi within reach of Sasaram too. Ask which of the two would look after a lift here. Omega has its headquarters and its production plant in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and the website gives 1985 as the year it was founded. The range on the site takes in goods, car, capsule, bungalow, hospital, passenger and service elevators, plus dumbwaiters and escalators, and it offers modernisation and maintenance. This entry is about Omega Elevators of Ahmedabad and the branches it lists.

Brands for which we found no office in Bihar

The last five are large, familiar names. A Sasaram buyer may be offered their lifts or may want their quote. On the official pages we were able to read, not one showed an office in Bihar. Take that as the limit of our research and not as a comment on any company, and open every conversation by asking where the nearest service engineer is based.

6. Fujitec India

Fujitec is a Japanese name: the parent, Fujitec Co., Ltd., was founded in Osaka in 1948. Fujitec India Pvt. Ltd., its subsidiary here, was established in Mumbai in 2004. Autowalks, escalators and passenger elevators are listed, along with modernisation. The contact page shows an office in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, and no office in Bihar. Ask the company where the service engineer nearest to Sasaram is based.

7. Mitsubishi Elevator India

Mitsubishi Elevator India Pvt. Ltd. belongs to Japan's Mitsubishi Electric Corporation. The website dates the Indian company to 2013 and places its corporate office in Bengaluru and its factory in Kolar district, Karnataka. The product pages cover home elevators and dumbwaiters as well as freight, service and passenger elevators, moving walks and escalators; modernisation and maintenance are offered too. The locations page names cities such as New Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai, and none in Bihar. Ask Mitsubishi where its nearest service engineer is based.

8. Otis

Otis is American, with its world headquarters at Farmington in Connecticut. The company's history page gives two dates: 1853, when its founder sold his first elevator, and 1953, when Otis India was formed. The site shows escalators, moving walks and lifts for high-rise, mid-rise and low-rise buildings, with maintenance and modernisation. The branch finder could not be read during our research, which means we could not confirm any Bihar office. Ask Otis directly where the nearest service engineer is.

9. Schindler

Schindler began in Lucerne, Switzerland, in 1874. Its history page puts the setting up of the Indian subsidiary in 1998; Schindler India has its headquarters in Mumbai and its factories at Chakan, Pune. The site lists freight and special elevators, passenger elevators, moving walks and escalators, plus maintenance and modernisation. As we read the India contact page, it lists offices in Lucknow and Ghaziabad and none in Bihar. Ask which office would cover Sasaram, and where the service engineer would be based.

10. TK Elevator

TK Elevator used to be called thyssenkrupp Elevator, and its origin is German. The India business dates from 2002; its headquarters and a multi-purpose facility are at Chakan, Pune. Home and villa elevators appear on the India site with other elevators, escalators and moving walks, and the company offers modernisation and maintenance. The office finder was unreadable in our research, so no Bihar office is confirmed. In July 2025, though, trade publications reported that the company had opened an office in Varanasi. Ask whether that office, or a different one, would serve this town.

How to choose between them from a small town

A buyer in a big city compares brands. A buyer in Sasaram compares arrangements, because a lift that stops in a nursing home or hotel here needs someone who can arrive quickly with the right part. Take these questions in order.

1. Service distance. Does the technician set out from Sasaram, Patna, Varanasi or somewhere further? Is that person the company's own employee? Who answers after office hours?
2. Parts availability. Which spares are stocked close by, and how do the others reach the town? Note the make of the door operator, the drive and the controller.
3. Rescue in a power cut. Where the power goes off, an automatic rescue device is not optional. Have it demonstrated at handover, and ask who in your building will be taught the manual rescue procedure.
4. IS 17900 compliance. According to BIS, IS 17900 has been mandatory for new lift installations since 22 December 2025. Get the company to confirm in writing that its lift complies, and look up the current notifications.
5. A transparent quote. Capacity, speed, number of stops, doors, cabin finish, safety devices, civil work, taxes and the stages of payment must be written out. What moves the price is explained in our lift price guide for Sasaram.
6. AMC terms. Before ordering, get on paper the AMC price once the warranty ends, how many visits it includes and what it leaves out.
7. Registration help. On 2 August 2024 the Bihar Assembly passed the Bihar Lift and Escalator Bill, 2024, which deals with registration, inspections, mandatory maintenance and third-party insurance. Ask if the company will prepare your documents, and check the present procedure with the local authority.
